To commemorate Fuel Day, all Circle K outlets across America issued a 40-cent-per-gallon gas discount on Thursday afternoon.

The promotion was available at over 3,600 Circle K branded fuel sites, and it sought to help customers and residents fill up their tanks before the Labor Day weekend.

Residents’ views about the Offer

The gas savings is best for most Americans because it has been a long time since gas prices were less than $3.50 per gallon.

However, the Circle K discount might save approximately 40 cents per gallon.

According to a Pheonix resident who learned about the deal on Facebook, she initially assumed it would result in long car lineups. Nonetheless, she showed up and was able to take advantage of the deal. “It feels fantastic, and it seems like we’re getting back to normal,” she says.

Circle K gas discount vs. current average gas price

Some customers could purchase gasoline at a discounted rate of $3.49 per gallon at Circle K on Missouri Avenue and 7th Street. Also, on Thursday, the average gas price in America finally fell below $4.

According to AAA, a gallon of standard petrol currently costs around $3.79 annually across the US.

That represents a decrease of roughly 42 cents from one month prior and a drop of $1.23 from the highest record average in June. Even with the cut, the US gas price is still over 65 cents more than it was the year before.

Gas prices are highest in Alaska, Hawaii, New York, California, and Utah. While the majority of southern states, including Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas, have the nation’s lowest gas costs.

Lower gas prices this Labor Day weekend?

Despite the recent drop in gas prices, AAA spokesperson John Treanor says he does not anticipate an increase in long-distance driving during the Labor Day weekend.

He believes that petrol costs did not affect large travel plans or road journeys of 50 miles or more. However, it is the everyday travel, errands, and shopping that alters things.

Treanor cautions anyone who plans to take advantage of decreased gas prices and hit the road over Labor Day weekend to keep in mind the toll that high temperatures can have on their automobiles. He also stated that AAA receives over 30,000 calls for tire failure each summer, adding that tires are blowing up primarily due to the heat.

Summary

Customers received a 40-cent discount on Circle K gas between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, ahead of the Labor Day weekend. Most folks who took advantage of the deal said it seemed like a throwback when gas prices were lower just a year ago. However, gas prices are on the decline, with prices beginning to fall after reaching an all-time high in June.
